‘Golden flavour of the olden days.’ 

POP is a restaurant that serves authentic and well-known Penang street food with the aim to preserve the heritage of Penang food. POP stands for ‘Piece of Penang’ as food plays a vital role in the locals’ daily lifestyle. It is also one of the main factor that makes Penang unique and attractive for tourists from all over the globe. The concept behind theta takeaway packaging design was inspired by the cooking process of the street food by hawkers around Penang. The design was printed out on a yellow-tinted textured paper to emanate a vintage vibe to it.

The packaging was designed to look clean, yet fun and vintage in order to align well with the brand image of POP (sincerity and authenticity) and also be attractive enough to grab the attention of customers concurrently.
